Tuition for primary to exam years

Steady progress, one lesson at a time.

Coda Atlas is a calm, structured tuition centre where students close gaps, build confidence and learn how to study, in small groups or one to one.

Subjects by stage

Teaching matched to where your child is now

Each stage has its own priorities. We place students by what they need next, not just by their school year.

Primary

Strong foundations

Short, focused lessons that make reading and maths feel manageable, and even enjoyable.

  • English reading & comprehension
  • Creative & structured writing
  • Mathematics & mental arithmetic
Lower Secondary

Confidence across core subjects

Support through the step up to secondary school, where content widens and independent work begins.

  • Mathematics
  • English language & literature
  • Combined sciences
Exam Years

Clear plans before the big papers

Topic-by-topic revision, timed practice and feedback on how marks are really earned.

  • Mathematics & further maths
  • Biology, chemistry & physics
  • English & essay technique
How it works

A simple path from first visit to real progress

No long commitments to begin. We start by understanding your child, then build a plan around them.

  1. Starting assessment

A relaxed session to see what your child already knows, where the gaps are and how they like to learn.

  2. Right-sized lessons

We recommend a small group or one-to-one format, then set a clear focus for the first half term.

  3. Progress notes

Families receive written notes each term covering what was covered, what improved and what comes next.

Our approach

Patient teaching, clear structure

Students do their best work when they feel settled. Our rooms are quiet, lessons follow a predictable rhythm, and every session ends with a short check on what stuck.

We teach the method, not just the answer. The goal is a student who can sit down with a new problem and know how to begin.

  • Small groups by ability
  • Worked examples first
  • Homework that is purposeful
  • Honest, written feedback
Lesson formats

Choose the rhythm that suits your week

Every format follows the same curriculum and progress notes. Students can move between formats as needs change.

Weekday

After-school groups

Regular weekly lessons in small groups, a steady routine that builds skills across the whole year.

Best for consistent, long-term progress.

Weekend

Focus sessions

Longer Saturday sessions that dig into one topic at a time, with extended practice built in.

Best for busy weekdays or targeted catch-up.

Individual

One-to-one tuition

A dedicated tutor and a fully personal plan, paced exactly to the student.

Best for specific gaps or exam preparation.

Questions

Before you enquire

Can't see your question here? Add it to the enquiry form and we'll answer it in our reply.

How do you decide which group my child joins?

The starting assessment shows us your child's current level and confidence. We place them with students working on similar material, even if they are in a different school year.

What happens if we miss a lesson?

Let us know in advance and we'll share the lesson notes and practice so your child can keep up. Where space allows, we can offer a catch-up place in another group.

Do students get homework?

Yes, but it is short and purposeful. Each task practises what was taught that week, so it reinforces the lesson rather than adding to school workload.

Can we switch between formats later?

Of course. Many families start one to one and move into a group once confidence grows, or add weekend sessions before exams.
